About Solid Solutions Magazine
Since its much anticipated debut in 1997, SOLID Solutions magazine has been the leading publication for the SolidWorks user. This bimonthly publication, known for its valuable product information and applicable tips and solutions, has a strong readership of over 35,000 qualified SolidWorks users. An independent publication, SOLID Solutions publishes the bi-annual Workstation Benchmark edition, the only benchmark sanctioned and certified by SolidWorks software.
Custom Property software for managing properties across multiple SolidWorks files. This can be an issue for situations where drawing standards change, PDM is implemented, or users discover yet another application for custom properties. If there is already a sizeable collection of files, it can be difficult to implement these changes. That's supposed to be where the Custom Property Propa-Gator comes in to save the day. The light version (which is still useful) is free.

NT 4.0 Service Pack 6a
SolidWorks strongly recommends the use of Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 5 with the SolidWorks 98Plus and SolidWorks 2000 software. We have identified a problem with Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 (and earlier service packs) that prevents the SolidWorks software from obtaining the required memory when opening very large files (especially large assemblies). Microsoft has resolved this problem in Windows NT Service Pack 5, which is available on the Microsoft web site.
Free plug-in for viewing SolidWorks parts, assemblies, and drawings
Share designs easily over the Internet using the free SolidWorks Viewer, available in Windows and Java versions. Provide your customers with a preview of designs in process. Ensure that you are on the right track before you produce costly prototypes. With the SolidWorks Viewer you can send designs for client review by email, or place designs on the web for your client to open and review.
Availability. The SolidWorks Viewer functions as an internet plug-in or as a standalone Windows application. Download the SolidWorks Viewer from the SolidWorks Web Site and use it locally on your personal computer. The Viewer is compatible with Microsoft Windows 95/Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP and Microsoft's Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. However, we recommend that the SolidWorks Viewer be used in conjunction with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
